This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading, truly independent fiduciary business as a Contract Accountant commencing early May for approximately an eight month assignment responsible for the Production of annual final accounts to an agreed timescale from trial balance, as directed by the appropriate manager.

Other responsibilities will include posting book keeping entries in respect of commercial and/or residential property rental statements and ad-hoc items in an accurate and timely manner and reconciliation of rental, client, creditors, inter-company loans and bank accounts to the Acumen database. Ensuring compliance with appropriate internal, professional and regulatory standards, including those of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, and ensure that appropriate Anti Money Laundering procedures are adhered to at all times.

Applications are invited from candidates who hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA) and who demonstrate at least one years' solid accounting experience gained within a financial services environment and who have knowledge of Technical Trust and Company accounting methods and financial statements as well as an understanding of the UK property investment, development and rental markets. Strong verbal communication skills to build effective, mutually beneficial and professional relationships with clients, intermediaries and colleagues as is the ability to work under pressure in order to adhere to strict deadlines, producing accurate, professional documentation and correspondence are essential requirements.

Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook is essential and those with knowledge of Acumen would be desirable however full training will be provided.
