Back to ResultsA Swiss private bank specialising in wealth and asset management is looking to hire a senior Avaloq developer in Basel, Switzerland.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned software engineer with profound know-how of all relevant technological aspects of the Avaloq stack (Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, Task Engine, Report Writer, Object Model, Transactional Model, Booking Engine). Provide your expertise to a reporting unit within the broader Avaloq Regulatory team. Maintain existing trade and transaction reporting solutions. Develop new functionalities or changes to existing functionalities in trade and transaction reporting. Implement small to medium sized projects together with your colleagues. Challenge and re-think existing solutions (architecture). Be an integral part of the broader Avaloq Regulatory team, also assisting in other expert fields (Tax, Compliance, Legal Reporting, Accounting).
To be suitable for this role, you will have higher education (university/FH) in Informatics or Computer Science, preferably with specialisation in Software Engineering. Additional training in Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP). Four years of practical experience in the field of Avaloq development. Solid understanding of banking and finance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Completion of ACCP with Major in Core Technologies is a plus (formerly ACP). Able to work with various stakeholders as well as have a hands-on mentality. Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability. Willingness to re-locate to Switzerland (Basel). Fluent in English.
