CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

 

The Pallinghurst Group is a specialist natural resources investment firm with unparalleled developmental, operational and financial expertise in mining. The Pallinghurst Group is currently in an exciting growth phase, having launched a new battery materials investment platform. Further information on The Pallinghurst Group can be found at www.pallinghurst.com.  Pallinghurst GP Ltd (“GP Ltd”) is a boutique, fast-paced firm and is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. GP Ltd is based in St Peter Port in Guernsey.

 

The applicant’s main duties will include:

 

  • Development and fulfilment of long- and short-term strategies, meeting the Pallinghurst Group objectives
  • Primary responsibility for development and implementation of internal policies to support company culture and vision
  • Making corporate decisions, managing overall operations and resources for the firm
  • Managing employee base, working closely with CEO, including evaluations, reward setting, discipline, encouraging good working practices
  • Maintaining awareness of market landscape, applicable technical developments, etc.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and new investors
  • Seeking out new investment opportunities
  • Delivering presentations to investors and potential target companies
  • Maintaining good relationships with appropriate regulatory bodies, government entities and other interested parties

 

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Experience within a C-Suite role
  • Experience within both the mining industry and a banking/financial advisory role is key, and specific experience within mining engineering would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with diverse business operations such as marketing, finance, HR, etc.
  • Appropriate qualification such as BSc/BA in relevant area (Business Administration, Finance, etc.) essential. Additional higher qualifications such as MBA or MSc of particular interest
  • Written English to very high standard. Ability to deliver presentations essential
  • French language skills advantageous but not necessary
  • Fully IT literate with particular experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
