Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to provide strategic leadership across several critical areas of the business, including procurement, stores, facilities, fleet, and inventory management. Job Duties: Lead the Group’s Procurement function, providing strategic direction and upholding the Group Procurement Policy. Liaise with key employees to determine product and service needs. Oversee all procurement activities, including supplier pre-qualification, contract negotiations, and tender management. Manage all commercial contract negotiations, ensuring protection for the Group and supporting the legal function. Lead RFP processes, ensuring transparency and fairness in supplier selection. Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic suppliers across the Group. Manage inventory levels, implementing systems and controls to maintain optimal levels and predict future demand. Track key metrics such as DIO to identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with the Group Travel and Expenses Policy for all staff travel arrangements. Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring monthly reporting. Uphold the Group Vehicle Policy, overseeing vehicle purchasing, service agent appointments, and maintenance. Support the Group’s ESG goals, ensuring supply chain audits and sustainable procurement processes. Assist with property lease negotiations, rent reviews, and renewals alongside the Head of Legal. Support minor building changes and office layout requirements, including sublet reviews. Lead and manage a team of six procurement staff, coordinating activities across multiple locations.   Job Requirements:  Experience using procurement functionality in D365 or equivalent ERP systems. Senior procurement experience within a commercial organisation, ideally in the engineering or utilities sector. Proven ability to manage a team across multiple geographic locations. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Understanding of standard legal requirements in supplier contracts. Experience building financial models to evaluate the returns on capital projects using payback, ROI, and IRR metrics. Strong written skills, including the ability to prepare presentations. Comply with health and safety procedures and promote a safe working environment. Take responsibility for identifying and reporting workplace hazards. Participate in health and safety initiatives, accident investigations, and follow rehabilitation plans if necessary.
