Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy Director to join their Investment, Fiduciary, and Pension Division. This role involves supporting the Deputy Director General in delivering high-quality prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation within the Bailiwick of Guernsey. You will play a key part in promoting a regulatory environment where good firms can thrive, while facilitating innovation and mitigating regulatory risks. Click here to read more.   Job Duties: Oversee the prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation of the Investment, Fiduciary, and Pension sectors. Support the promotion of a regulatory environment that enhances the Bailiwick’s international reputation within the financial services industry. Assist with delivering PRISM risk-based supervision, enforcement, and policy creation. Develop and evolve supervision strategies, adapting to technological advancements and changes in business models. Quality control of post-visit feedback, external correspondence, and internal reports, ensuring impactful actions. Oversee licensing decisions, exemptions, and submissions from licensees, ensuring robust decision-making. Lead thematic reviews of the Investment, Fiduciary, and Pension sectors alongside the Deputy Director General. Assist in managing divisional operations, including overseeing procedures and systems to ensure their effectiveness. Manage staff recruitment, appraisals, and training, as well as handling performance management issues. Assist in divisional budgeting and the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard. Represent the Division and Commission locally and internationally, including conducting training, workshops, and industry presentations.   Job Requirements: Proven experience in financial services regulation, particularly in Investment, Fiduciary, or Pension sectors. Strong decision-making and strategic thinking abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the organisation effectively both locally and internationally. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, staff development, and performance management. Ability to manage competing priorities, balance workloads, and meet deadlines.
