Our client is seeking a Credit Officer to join their established credit team in Guernsey. This role focuses on the arrangement and management of asset-backed credit facilities, with the potential to also handle UK real estate transactions. You will contribute to the development of credit strategies and products, while offering advice to senior management and relationship managers. Click here to read more.   Job Duties:  Prepare credit proposals, including research and analysis of borrowers and asset portfolios Draft clear and concise reports detailing risks and mitigation strategies Develop appropriate covenant packages for asset-backed credit Prepare and maintain legal credit agreements, liaising with legal counsel Monitor credit exposures and ensure compliance with agreed covenant packages Manage default cases, including issuing margin calls and overseeing security realisation Provide guidance to relationship managers and assist with client communications on credit-related matters Participate in credit committee meetings and represent credit-related interests Develop and maintain credit products, ensuring they meet market and client needs Collaborate with senior management on the bank’s credit strategy   Job Requirements: At least 5 years of international private banking experience in a credit environment Strong understanding of asset classes and their risk profiles Experience with cross-border lending and associated legal challenges Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise relationship managers and clients Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines Flexible approach to handling daily tasks and workflows Professional qualifications in securities or banking preferred   What You’ll Love:Our client offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise in credit will help shape the future of their financial services.
