Our client is seeking an experienced Front Risk Management Specialist to lead a newly created team within the Front Risk Management Department in Guernsey. This role forms part of the first line of defence function and focuses on risk management tasks in Guernsey while aligning with Front Risk Management colleagues globally to enhance risk management effectiveness across the Group. Click here to read more.   Job Duties:  Manage a team, ensuring day-to-day operations and achievement of objectives Facilitate personal development plans for team members, providing access to relevant training Oversee performance and conduct of team members, fostering a collaborative culture Ensure adherence to the Bank’s policies, principles, and values Develop, operate, and maintain the Risk Management Framework Set up the framework of Conduct and Accountability to promote a positive culture and conduct Analyse Front Office processes from a risk perspective and collaborate with the Change Team to mitigate risks Maintain an adequate Front Risk Management first level of defence, including reporting Support and oversee the development of new controls and refine existing ones Promote front-related IT system improvements from a risk and control perspective Act as a solution-oriented Front Risk Management representative to avoid risks in day-to-day business activities Participate in Group initiatives regarding front risk topics Identify and anticipate business and conduct risks Perform quality assurance tasks Implement remediation and risk mitigation activities for detected shortcomings Report significant risks to management and ensure appropriate mitigation measures Assist regional and local management on thematic and business-specific risk reviews Coordinate risk-related investigations and activities with the Front Office Identify training needs and enhance awareness on risk-related matters Communicate Front impacting changes in a structured and client-oriented manner Prepare and present Front Risk Management reports at relevant Management committees Participate as a member of the Conduct and Risk Committees Ensure close collaboration between the 1LoD Business Functions, FRONT RISK MANAGEMENT , and the 2LoD Collaborate closely with client-facing staff, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and other stakeholders Handle exceptions to policy requests   Job Requirements: Ability to work independently and take on responsibility Excellent organisational and planning skills Capacity to work under pressure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Team player with persistence and reliability Professional communication skills and relationship-building abilities Negotiation skills to design pragmatic and effective solutions Extensive experience in Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance Relevant professional qualifications Solid knowledge of KYC and AML-related topics Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion Familiarity with the GFSC and applicable regulations Good understanding of processes within a financial institution   What You’ll Love:Our client offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where you will have the opportunity to lead a newly established team, contribute to risk management initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.
