Our client is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager for an 11-month maternity cover role. The successful candidate will support the identification and onboarding of new strategic marketplaces both in the UK and internationally. Click here to read more.   Job Duties: Support the identification and onboarding of new strategic marketplaces in the UK and internationally. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding process during the maternity cover period. Maintain a keen understanding of the marketplace landscape, identifying opportunities and threats to align the company's strategy accordingly. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company at relevant trade exhibitions, networking events, and webinars to develop new business opportunities. Maintain high-level relationships with marketplace providers to drive performance and ensure the best possible positioning for products during the maternity cover period. Liaise with the Strategic Amazon Account Manager to plan effective marketing and promotional activities while ensuring the Commercial Calendar remains current. Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with product, marketing, and finance to ensure a consistent and effective approach to marketplace management. Ensure products are listed promptly and merchandised effectively to maximise visibility and sales. Collaborate with the Commercial Demand Planner to forecast sales performance and ensure sufficient stock availability. Review, analyse, and report on trading performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, proposing corrective action or additional investment where appropriate. Oversee the PPC budget and monitor ad performance by maintaining a collaborative relationship with the PPC Account Manager, ensuring continued optimisation. Manage the available marketplace budget to optimise return on investment and effectively support established and new initiatives. Provide leadership and guidance to the Marketplace Executive, including regular 1:1 meetings, to support their development and performance, assisting in workload prioritisation and ensuring alignment with key business priorities to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.   Job Requirements:  5 years+ experience in a marketing or commercial role, with a proven ability to step into leadership roles temporarily. Experience with online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, demonstrating the ability to manage and optimise marketplace performance. Proven ability to successfully work with internal and external departments, ensuring smooth operations and alignment during the maternity cover. Commercially aware and comfortable with numbers. Strong organisational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
