Back to ResultsAn institutional investor with assets across diversified industry sectors including Energy & Mining is looking to hire an Investment Manager in Energy & Mining division. The role will be based in Oman.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Energy’s strategy of divestment and privatization, as cascaded down from the Energy & Mining departmental’s strategy and to oversee its implementation. The right candidate will be a senior professional with significant investment management or industry M&A experience within the downstream Energy and Mining/Natural Resource sectors, experience of sitting on the board of investee companies is a plus.
The role will be responsible to manage the team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning, in order to maximise team performance and achieve objectives.
Manage the Energy divisions daily operations by providing expertise, enabling teamwork, and aligning processes, in order to achieve high performance standards and meet established targets. Ensure alignment of investee companies operating in the Energy sectors with the country’s diversification objectives to make sure that the subsidiaries are reflecting the company’s strategies and maximising overall value for the national strategy.
Preferable professional qualifications include CFA, CPA/ ACCA/FCCA. Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in Arabic is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office is essential (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with business-related software is desirable.
