Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Balance Sheet Risk Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a subject matter expert within the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in managing liquidity and interest rate risks across the balance sheet. You will work closely with various teams, including Group Treasury, to ensure effective risk management, accurate reporting, and alignment with corporate objectives. Click here to read more   Job Duties: Lead the development of the liquidity risk framework, including risk appetite formulation, liquidity risk assessment, forecasting, stress testing, and reporting. Continuously enhance the Recovery and Resolution Plan, Contingency Funding Plan, and Treasury Policy. Ensure appropriate Liquidity and Funding Risk Appetites are maintained to minimise liquidity risks. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, delivering positive customer outcomes. Monitor regulatory changes and best practices, advising governance bodies on necessary implementations. Provide expert advice on liquidity and interest rate risk in alignment with corporate objectives. Produce and sign off management information for internal stakeholders and external regulators. Ensure compliance of models and systems with the Model Governance Framework for risk measurement and reporting. Collate and distribute the monthly Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) pack, providing analysis and insights on interest rate and market risks. Meet Continued Professional Development (CPD) requirements in line with qualifications and in-house procedures. Uphold core values and expected behaviours in all activities. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.   Job Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Membership of ACCA, ACA, or CIMA. Strong ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders. Proven capability in managing ambiguity and prioritising multiple tasks. Experience in risk reporting, analysis, and making informed recommendations. Skilled in interpreting and communicating complex and sensitive information effectively. In-depth knowledge of liquidity and derivative instruments used in financial services.
