Our client is seeking a Lending Specialist to join their dynamic front office lending team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong lending experience who is looking to progress within a growth-oriented organisation. The Lending Specialist will play a pivotal role in assessing and managing loan applications, providing credit advisory services, and ensuring adherence to risk strategies. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across departments to support credit facilities, improve processes, and contribute to lending targets. Click here to read more   Job Duties: Work within a busy front office lending team, handling client meetings and queries, and reviewing mortgage and loan applications within agreed SLAs. Act as an internal and external credit advisor, assessing client structures and creating client-centric solutions. Review and renew existing loan facilities. Present cases to the bank’s credit committee. Support Lending Officers in the approval and finalisation of facilities they underwrite. Collaborate with Credit Risk and Credit Operations departments to ensure credit facilities align with the organisation’s risk strategy, embedding a strong risk culture in product design, case submissions, and portfolio reviews. Make recommendations for continuous improvements to the lending process. Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) lending targets.   Job Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, banking, or lending. Holds or is willing to pursue relevant qualifications, such as CEMAP. Strong administration skills with a focus on speed, accuracy, and reliability. Excellent communication skills.
