Back to ResultsOur client is seeking an experienced Loss Control Surveyor to join their Underwriting team on a permanent basis in either their Jersey or Guernsey office. This newly created role focuses on risk management and loss prevention, requiring specialised knowledge and a hands-on approach to surveying within commercial environments. Click here to read more Job Duties: Conduct detailed surveys of commercial properties to assess and mitigate potential risks. Provide technical risk management advice and loss prevention recommendations to clients. Collaborate with the Underwriting team to interpret requirements and ensure alignment with risk management decisions. Prepare detailed survey reports, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting actionable improvements. Engage with clients and stakeholders, using strong communication skills to influence and negotiate risk management strategies. Stay up-to-date with current risk management practices and industry standards. Job Requirements: In-depth technical knowledge of risk management and loss prevention practices for various insurance risks. Proven experience in surveying or consulting within commercial environments. Ability to interpret underwriting requirements and provide risk management guidance. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with customers and stakeholders. Background in Underwriting, Claims, Surveying, or Commercial Engineering. ACII qualification or actively working towards it. Full driving licence.
