Our client is seeking a skilled Business Risk and Control Manager to ensure the implementation of an effective internal control framework and oversee risk management in line with the organisation’s risk appetite. This senior role, positioned within the Chief Operating Office, requires a strategic approach to fostering a positive risk culture and viewing risk as an enabler to achieving organisational priorities. Click here to read more   Job Duties: Implement the Risk Management Framework across all operational areas, covering identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of both financial and non-financial risks. Provide oversight and challenge to Risk and Control owners, ensuring risks are managed within appetite and creating pathways to resolve issues outside of it. Hold issue and action owners accountable for completing actions within target timelines. Manage the closure of all actions stemming from second and third-line reviews. Advocate for the risk management framework, supporting first-line functions in developing their risk management capabilities. Act as Risk Owner (Delegate) for risks overseen by the Chief Operating Officer. Own monthly reporting for the Business Risk and Control Committee. Prepare papers for the Customer Selection and Exit Management Committee (CSEM) and ensure submitted cases meet quality standards, in conjunction with the MLRO. Participate in relevant governance forums and oversee the annual review of governance effectiveness. Oversee the Third Party Risk Management Framework, ensuring relationships are managed within framework guidelines and addressing performance concerns. Adhere to CPD (Continued Professional Development) requirements in line with qualification level and internal policies. Uphold core values and expected behaviours within the organisation. Undertake additional responsibilities as required by management.   Job Requirements:  Degree-level education. Knowledge of risk management, risk management frameworks, and regulatory reporting.
