CATHOLIC PARISH OF OUR LADY AND

THE SAINTS OF GUERNSEY

Part time 20 hours per week,

usually worked over 3 days

Salary: £17,680 per annum (£17.00 per hour)

Due to a vacancy the Catholic Parish of Our Lady and the Saints of

Guernsey is seeking an Assistant Parish Secretary to join our team,

based at St Joseph’s, Ampthill House, Cordier Hill, St Peter Port.

Responsibilities will include, supporting the administration of the

parish, producing the weekly parish newsletters and other duties that

are part of running a busy parish and updating and maintaining the

parish website

The successful applicant will be trustworthy, maintaining absolute

discretion and confidentiality, and will possess a friendly, caring,

sympathetic and professional manner. They should be comfortable

working collaboratively within a small team that includes clergy

and volunteers. They will also be able to undertake a variety of

administrative tasks competently and efficiently and be able to

prioritise activities to meet deadlines.

Experience working in an administrative role in an office environment

and proficiency in Microsoft Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) is

essential.
