Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their Finance team on a maternity cover basis from January to November 2025. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role involves statutory, management, and group reporting, as well as regulatory and treasury responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial compliance, accurate reporting, and effective monitoring of financial activities. Click here to read more   Job Duties: Produce month-end Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports in collaboration with the Assistant Accountant. Maintain reconciliations for key balance sheet control accounts. Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and group reporting at year-end. Review, enhance, and maintain monthly business review packs, including: Credit Risk Committee Pack, Management Pack and Group Client Pack Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory reports for local regulators and group consolidation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all submitted reports. Monitor and control treasury risks, including counterparty, liquidity, capital adequacy, FX exposure, interest rate, and settlement risks. Review, analyse, and report on treasury income. Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc financial projects. Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely availability of required reports and documentation. Understand and adhere to the relevant regulatory environment, rules, and guidance.   Job Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience. Background in financial services. Experience in regulatory reporting or a strong understanding of regulatory requirements. Proficiency in accounting and banking systems, with strong Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills.
