Our client is seeking a Financial Controller to join their Finance department in Guernsey. This full-time role involves overseeing financial reporting, regulatory compliance, treasury risk management, and taxation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and play a critical role in managing statutory, management, and group reporting, as well as leading the finance team to achieve business objectives. Click here to read more   Job Duties: Manage group reporting processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies. Oversee internal management reporting and ensure deadlines are met. Prepare annual statutory accounts and group reporting at year-end. Supervise the timely completion of monthly management information (MI) reports. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of quarterly regulatory reports for local regulators. Maintain compliance with regulatory rules, guidance, and internal policies. Complete asset and liability management (ALM) and other group reports for consolidation purposes. Monitor and control treasury risks, including counterparty, liquidity, capital adequacy, FX exposure, and interest rate risks. Analyse and report on treasury income. Oversee taxation reporting, ensuring deadlines for submissions and payments are met. Review key balance sheet reconciliations regularly. Assist the CFO with ad hoc financial projects. Liaise with auditors and tax advisors to ensure all reporting and documentation are accurate. Approve supplier payments and employee expenses in line with company policies. Provide day-to-day management, training, and guidance for the finance team.   Job Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least three years of post-qualification experience. Financial services background. Experience in regulatory reporting or a strong understanding of the regulatory environment. Proficient in accounting systems, banking systems, and advanced Excel skills. Proven experience managing staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
