Our client is seeking a Security, Ground Training and Standards Officer to join their team in Guernsey. This full-time role primarily operates Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, with flexibility required for occasional weekend work to meet business training needs. Reporting to the Ground Training Manager, the successful candidate will design and deliver training in compliance with company procedures and external regulations. The role involves supporting the development of ground staff by delivering de-ice training and monthly refreshers. Click here to read more Job Duties:  Design and deliver training programmes in collaboration with the Ground Training Manager. Liaise with the Security Manager to coordinate security-related training and comply with quality assurance standards. Deliver training at other stations as required, including short-notice travel and overnight stays. Update training content to reflect legislative changes. Maintain and review training records regularly. Operate communication and computer systems efficiently. Ensure all activities adhere to safety and legal standards, especially ramp procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of company procedures for aircraft handling and dispatch. Undertake duties assigned by Ground Handling Duty Officers or designated officials. Maintain contact with other carriers and airport authorities during normal duties. Liaise with operational and senior managers regarding training issues, monthly plans, and employee focus lists. Prepare and present monthly training reports. Facilitate training programmes, including orientation, health and safety, customer service, technical on-the-job training, and supervisory skills. Audit business areas to identify training gaps and ensure standards are met. Deliver de-icing training as a qualified instructor and maintain ground staff knowledge during off-seasons. Job Requirements:  Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to identify and address challenges promptly and effectively. Self-motivated with a professional demeanour and willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing work hours and conditions. Confident presenting training to groups, including senior managers. Calm and understanding approach, especially under pressure. Proficient in office software and adept at reviewing policies and procedures. Valid Guernsey or UK driving licence. Completion of a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC). Ability to provide a five-year work history. Willingness to undertake additional security courses as needed.
