Back to ResultsOur client is seeking a diligent and professional Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. The role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance strategies, providing advice to the board of directors, and embedding a positive compliance culture. Job Duties: Oversee the monitoring and testing of AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls under the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP). Manage the compliance team, including day-to-day oversight, training, and professional development. Provide guidance and advice on compliance and operational matters to the board and administrative staff. Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of reports on AML/CFT/CPF and data protection to the board and other relevant parties. Act as a primary point of contact with the Commission, ensuring timely responses to queries and requests. Monitor and update the Company's Business Risk Assessment and oversee the adherence to internal policies and procedures. Prepare and circulate agendas for relevant committee meetings, attending in an advisory capacity. Ensure staff receive adequate training on compliance, risk, and regulatory responsibilities. Manage regulatory and statutory reporting to the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC). Review and provide recommendations based on GFSC thematics and regulatory updates. Job Requirements: Excellent knowledge of Guernsey AML/CFT legislation and regulatory frameworks. Relevant compliance qualifications, such as the International Diploma in Compliance or Certified AML Specialist certification. Strong management and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels. Experience in developing and delivering compliance strategies and training. Ability to work independently and deliver pragmatic solutions to compliance challenges. Commitment to continuous professional development and attendance at relevant industry seminars.
