Our client is seeking a Client Accountant to prepare statutory accounts, support tax administrators with returns, and provide ad-hoc financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and within internal and regulatory deadlines. This role requires a proactive approach to client record-keeping, adherence to procedures, and engagement in client-facing responsibilities.    Job Duties: Prepare statutory and non-statutory financial reporting in line with internal, client, and regulatory deadlines. Assist with the preparation of Guernsey and UK tax returns and VAT returns. Provide support and guidance on client record-keeping and financial reporting. Adhere to internal practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Manage time effectively, focusing on chargeable work and accurate time recording. Assist colleagues with accounting matters and queries. Understand client acceptance procedures and associated risks. Prepare for and attend client meetings, ensuring follow-up on action points. Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues. Work towards agreed training and performance goals, taking responsibility for self-development. Escalate issues or exceptions to directors to mitigate risks.   Job Requirements: Minimum of three to four years of relevant experience in an accounting environment. Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CAT, or AAT). Proven academic record and sound knowledge of financial transactions and statements. Experience using ACUMEN is advantageous (training provided if required). Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to resolve queries and provide solutions effectively. Team player with flexibility to adapt to business needs. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
