Our client is seeking a motivated Trainee Fund Accountant to join their Fund Accounting team in September. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting for a portfolio of active venture capital funds. The successful candidate will assist in producing accurate, well-presented client deliverables within agreed deadlines and in compliance with fund policies and procedures. This position is ideal for individuals with A-level qualifications or university education looking to build a career in fund accounting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.    Job Duties: Undertake relevant training to gain an understanding of different clients and fund structures. Perform bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting for a tailored portfolio of venture capital funds. Support Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants with more complex client portfolios when needed. Assist in producing quarterly management accounts and annual audited accounts in line with IFRS and FRS102 standards. Respond to audit requests in a timely manner and provide information to tax advisors for relevant tax reporting. Monitor client mailboxes to ensure timely responses to client queries and handle ad hoc client requests. Collaborate with the Fund Administration team to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping of transactions across fund entities. Attend professional qualification courses and undertake exams to complete relevant certifications.   Job Requirements: A self-starter with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Strong computer literacy and problem-solving abilities. A keen interest in the financial services industry.
