Back to ResultsOur client is seeking an organised individual with a growth mindset to join their locally based team of experienced Operations staff. This full-time role is key in supporting the business to achieve its strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, innovative, and keen to expand their existing knowledge in International Payments, Treasury Back Office, and general operational processes. The position involves challenging processes and procedures, suggesting and helping to implement improvements, whilst maintaining robust controls. Job Duties: Prepare, input, and authorise manual SWIFT payments sent to a central inbox. Process, review, and repair online SWIFT payments in a timely manner. Handle inward SWIFT payments promptly. Monitor and release payments and messages stopped in the Safewatch payment screening system. Initiate and respond to payment queries and investigations. Sort and distribute SWIFT statements and prints. Input and authorise treasury functions, including Money Market deals, Foreign Exchange deals, Treasury bills, Position Keeping, and Matching confirmations. Monitor queues in Vision, the core banking system. Oversee central inboxes to ensure all tasks are completed. Provide support to other areas of the Operations Team as needed, including internal transfers, fixed deposits, BACS, and Visa settlements. Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as required. Provide cover for holidays and sickness within known areas. Job Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build effective relationships. Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills. High risk awareness and ability to adhere to compliance requirements. Quick learner with a client-focused approach, balancing client needs with company policies. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Accuracy and ability to work independently when needed. Comprehensive knowledge of SWIFT payments, Nostro accounts, and routing payments. Several years of banking experience. Treasury knowledge and an understanding of payments sanctions and FATF regulations. Good understanding of the regulatory environment, relevant rules, and guidance.
