Our client is seeking a New Business & Risk Review Officer to safeguard the organisation's reputation and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. This role focuses on conducting thorough client risk reviews and maintaining exceptional standards of client documentation. The successful candidate will proactively identify risks and contribute to the organisation's compliance with FATCA, CRS, and other regulatory frameworks, while delivering an exceptional client experience.   Job Duties: Conducting risk reviews for low, medium, and high-risk clients, including the review of documentation, completion of checklists, and performance of relevant searches. Ensuring all client documentation meets internal standards, is complete, and is consistent. Liaising with Relationship Managers and intermediaries to obtain additional information as required. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date due diligence in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Identifying errors and omissions, stimulating updates to risk assessments or corrective actions as necessary. Assisting with FATCA and CRS compliance, including classification reasonableness checks and referrals as needed. Monitoring reviews due and outstanding queries, escalating issues as per organisational procedures. Supporting Trigger Event reviews and onboarding tasks within the New Business and Risk Team as required. Conducting Approved Introducer and Obliged Person risk reviews, providing feedback, and identifying training needs for intermediaries. Supporting retrospective Customer Due Diligence (CDD) exercises and rectifying identified errors and omissions. Undertaking ad hoc tasks as assigned.   Job Requirements: Exposure to managing regulatory risk within a large financial institution. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. An inquisitive mindset with the ability to challenge constructively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inform and persuade effectively. Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to operate independently and escalate matters confidently when necessary. Strong influencing skills to secure the cooperation of colleagues and prioritise regulatory matters appropriately. Detailed knowledge of account opening, KYC/CDD processes, and risk review procedures. In-depth understanding of client structures to facilitate compliance with local regulatory requirements.
