The successful candidate will be working in a friendly and progressive environment as a member of the Finance Team to undertake duties including: assisting with updating budget documents in excel, rolling forward and updating template monthly reporting spreadsheets including the use of SUM, IF and IFS formulas, preparing financial statements (FRS 102 and IFRS) and assisting with queries from the auditor, calculation and communication of monthly interest charges on unpaid debts, setting up and reviewing control sheets for prepayments and accruals and assisting the team with balance sheet reconciliations.
The successful candidate will be performing an accounting function not only for Guernsey, but our other jurisdictions as well.
Candidates should have a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA) and have solid knowledge of accounting standards and at least 5 years' experience in internal finance and able to hit the ground running.
