Our client is seeking an Associate to join their Litigation team in Guernsey. This role involves delivering award-winning client service to a diverse range of global clients, including financial institutions, fiduciary service providers, commercial entities, and private individuals. The team handles a broad spectrum of litigation work, such as trust disputes, insolvencies, fraud and asset recovery, regulatory enforcement, and arbitration. This is an opportunity to take responsibility for varied contentious cases, including cross-border matters, while contributing to the team’s ongoing success.  Job Duties: Manage and coordinate client work, including legal research, drafting opinions, reviewing documentation, and preparing cases for court. Deliver high-quality, timely, and professional client service. Liaise with clients, providing legal advice under the guidance of partners. Draft legal documents and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Mentor and develop junior team members, including paralegals and trainees. Collaborate with colleagues across teams and international offices on multidisciplinary projects. Manage time recording, billing, and collections efficiently in line with policy. Ensure compliance with client due diligence (CDD) and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures. Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying cross-selling opportunities, attending client events, and preparing articles or presentations. Promote the client's brand by participating in functions and client engagements. Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as required. Job Requirements: 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a UK or Commonwealth qualification. Relevant litigation experience, with offshore experience being beneficial but not essential. Strong drafting skills and sound financial awareness. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage workloads effectively under deadlines. A proactive, client-focused approach with energy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
