Back to ResultsOur commercial client is a leading name in the offshore telecommunications sector. On their behalf we are looking to recruit a specialist in regulation as a part of their legal and regulatory team. This role can be based in Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man.
This is a senior position as part of a small regulatory team responsible for a number of offshore jurisdictions. It is a wide-ranging role within competitive and exclusive market environments. The role-holder will be responsible for the delivery of specific projects so previous experience of programme delivery will be essential.
The role will involve formulating regulatory strategies relevant to the strategic aims on the business. Offering advice on regulatory risks and opportunities and making best courses of action to take working closely with the company’s commercial, technical and marketing teams. A good knowledge of the regulatory environment relative to each jurisdiction will be expected, particularly in relation to competition laws and their application.
Candidates should hold a relevant qualification and at least five years experience gained in a regulated environment, preferably within the telecoms sector or working for a telecoms regulator. This may have been as a regulatory economist, lawyer or as a regulatory accountant.
