Our client is seeking a Trainee Trust Administrator. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will assist in managing trust and company trust administration, handling client relationships, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Job Duties: Perform all aspects of trust and company trust administration. Manage and maintain an awareness of the workflow relating to your portfolio. Liaise with clients and intermediaries in relation to various transactions, preparing relevant transactional documentation, such as minutes, resolutions, etc. Open and maintain bank accounts, process payment instructions, and review bank and asset statements. Arrange investment reviews for trusts and companies, interpret the outcomes, and implement any required actions. Maintain company and trust records, ensuring compliance with due diligence procedures and AML regulations. Maintain accurate timesheets daily. Demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of transactions, showing commercial acumen. Provide support and guidance to other members of the team. Recognise and contribute to the mitigation of risk, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Participate in ad hoc projects as required. Job Requirements: Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. Ideally some experience in trust and company administration, with excellent technical knowledge of trusts. Ability to contribute to the teamwork ethos and work across different jurisdictions. Effective communication with clients, staff, and management in various jurisdictions. Highly organised with a systematic work method and strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills, maintaining high service levels and a sense of ownership over client relationships. Good understanding of regulatory requirements and a working knowledge of UK and SA tax planning is an advantage. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines.
