Our client is seeking a highly organised and adaptable Legal Administrator to support fee earners with a range of non-fee-earning and junior fee-earning tasks. This role involves providing administrative support to enhance team efficiency, streamlining processes, and contributing to the smooth operation of the office. The successful candidate will assist with tasks including document preparation, client liaison, and probate work while ensuring that all activities align with the firm's standards and procedures. Job Duties: Provide full administrative and support services to fee earners, including diary management, relaying messages, and managing email inboxes. Assist with data management tasks and projects to improve team efficiency. Handle administrative aspects of local probate work and identify fee-earning opportunities. Arrange business development events, travel, and meetings, including logistical planning. Work with the support team to maintain smooth office operations, including answering phones, handling post, and covering reception when needed. Prepare meeting rooms, organise client meetings, and ensure all practical arrangements are completed. Assist with client take-on processes and maintain accurate documentation. Prepare and proofread documents and reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Print, scan, and collate legal documents and assist with Court bundling (physical and electronic). Liaise with Court offices and assist with legal research and analysis. Support monthly billing, WIP lists, expense claims, and time entries. Carry out searches promptly and efficiently. Undertake paralegal tasks and other projects as assigned. Job Requirements: Graduate or educated to A level (or equivalent) with strong grades; an administration or secretarial qualification is advantageous. Prior experience in a professional services firm, ideally in a legal environment (not essential). Confident IT user with knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with document management systems is a plus. Excellent typing, formatting, and organisational skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
