Our client is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join their growing team in either Guernsey or Jersey. This exciting role offers the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of clients, including those in Financial Services, private equity, funds, real estate, and private clients. As part of the senior management team, you will have the opportunity to shape client relationships, deliver tax compliance and advisory services, and lead a cross-Island team of tax associates, senior associates, and managers. Job Duties: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing both local and international tax compliance and advisory services. Develop new business opportunities through networking, client interactions, and contributing to shaping service strategy. Collaborate with directors and partners across the firm’s departments to provide comprehensive solutions. Stay updated on evolving tax legislation and take the lead in projects related to domestic corporate taxation, private equity, funds regimes, trusts, economic substance, real estate taxes, international tax risk governance, and transfer pricing. Take a leading role in client relationships, including drafting thought leadership content and presenting at seminars and client briefings. Manage and coach a cross-Island team of tax associates, senior associates, and managers, delegating work as appropriate. Contribute to the efficient running of the team, including financial management and the development of tax technology solutions. Participate in sports, social, and wellbeing initiatives to build team morale and cohesion. Job Requirements: Qualified ACCA, ACA, CTA, or equivalent with significant experience in a current tax role at Senior Manager level. Strong knowledge of UK Corporation Tax or other Commonwealth jurisdictions, with experience in international tax principles (such as transfer pricing). Experience in tax compliance and advisory work, including report writing. Previous exposure to Financial Services, Private Equity/Funds, or Real Estate clients is desirable. Proven experience in leading client relationships and managing junior staff. Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to a new jurisdiction and manage cross-border tax planning projects.
