Back to ResultsOur client is seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to join their team in Guernsey. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ managerial experience within the insurance industry and ideally be ACII qualified. This full-time position involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients, managing insurance and reinsurance companies, and providing support in underwriting, claims, and client management. The role also includes regular coordination of client meetings and advising on insurance market conditions. Job Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day insurance servicing of a diverse portfolio of clients. Work closely with the team to manage the affairs of regulated insurance and reinsurance companies. Ensure understanding of underwriting requirements and contractual frameworks for clients. Process insurance transactions within set parameters, liaising with third parties to ensure compliance. Manage specific client email inboxes where necessary. Prepare and/or review insurance and reinsurance policy documentation, quotations, and slips. Maintain registers of (re)insurance documentation and client insurance programmes. Review and approve premium and claims bordereaux. Assist with claims determination and claims handling. Maintain regular client contact and assist with client management. Coordinate client Underwriting Committee and Board Meetings as required. Attend client Underwriting Committee and Board Meetings, assisting in the preparation of client reports and minutes. Advise on insurance developments and market conditions. Assist with ad-hoc project work as requested. Job Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ managerial experience in the insurance industry. Ideally ACII qualified or working towards the qualification. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and effective time management.
