Our client, one of the largest garden centre retail groups in the UK and Channel Islands, is looking for a Retail Support Administrator to join their team. This full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week) offers flexible working hours between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. The role is pivotal in supporting the garden centres by handling queries, ensuring accurate invoice reconciliation, managing product data, and assisting with database and stock order management. Job Duties: Reconcile supplier invoices with goods received notes (GRNs) and investigate discrepancies. Ensure suppliers uphold agreed terms, cost prices, and discounts, raising credit requests when necessary. Reconcile credit notes and goods received quantities versus invoiced amounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between GRNs and invoices, and liaise with relevant parties to ensure accurate stock-file records. Maintain and import new product listings and updates to the system, ensuring data accuracy. Investigate and resolve product queries raised by garden centres regarding product scanning issues, product information, or promotional offers. Create and amend promotional offers as requested by the buying team or garden centres. Raise stock orders and purchase orders, ensuring correct format and timely communication to suppliers. Clear dated outstanding orders from the system, liaising with suppliers and garden centres as needed. Maintain EPOS system data, ensuring product information displayed on receipts is clear, accurate, and readable. Produce and send reports from EPOS and accounts systems to suppliers, centres, and buyers. Communicate changes or issues, such as delivery date amendments or promotional updates, to garden centres. Job Requirements: Clear and logical approach to tasks, with the ability to work accurately and with high attention to detail. Strong organisational skills and excellent time management. A team player who can also work independently and prioritise tasks effectively. Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident telephone manner. Proactive in learning new skills and developing existing ones. Flexible and adaptable, able to switch priorities when new projects arise.
