Back to ResultsOur client is seeking an Accountant to join their team, based in Alderney, with remote working options available in Guernsey. This is a permanent position reporting to the Financial Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 (A) and Trust accounting standards, while supporting the business in strengthening its finance function. The role requires a proactive individual capable of multitasking and effective communication, handling multiple trust and company accounts. Job Duties: Prepare financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 (A) and Trust accounting standards. Support the business in delivering a strong finance function and assist in improving systems and processes. Assist with ad hoc projects as required. Ensure that all accounting tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner, maintaining accuracy and high standards of financial reporting. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure seamless financial operations. Manage and process the accounting needs of multiple companies and trusts simultaneously. Job Requirements: CA (SA)/ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, or part qualified. Understanding of IFRS and GAAP. Practical accounting experience (experience in the trust or fiduciary sector is not essential). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in Excel and Word, with experience in accounting software.
