Our client is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their Information Security and Data Protection team. The role involves monitoring and analysing threats and vulnerabilities that could impact the organisation's systems or data, and supporting various security-related activities as directed by the Information Security & Business Resilience Manager. Job Duties: Support the Chief Information Security Officer in executing activities related to the organisation's information security program. Perform horizon scanning and report on security trends and developments relevant to the organisation. Maintain technical knowledge of security tools and best practices, including incident containment and remediation strategies. Monitor key security systems for potential incidents using tools such as endpoint analysis, SIEM products, and data loss prevention systems. Interface with the 24/7 managed cybersecurity services provider, integrating relevant threat intelligence into operations. Assist in enhancing the security team’s functions, such as incident handling, tooling, and knowledge. Contribute to the delivery of security projects, including the rollout of new security tools. Conduct technical security reviews to ensure a "security-first" approach is maintained across the organisation. Perform security-related testing of key systems to ensure they meet security requirements. Support the organisation's response to security incidents from initial triage through to closure. Collaborate with Major Incident teams and support security incident investigations. Document and report security incidents as required. Oversee the scoping and delivery of supplier work, such as penetration tests and security reviews. Assist with client and supplier-related assurance activities. Job Requirements: At least 3 years’ experience in a technical information security role. Functional understanding of IT systems, including security and data privacy concepts and practices. Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn. Experience with security tools and incident response techniques. Qualifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are desirable but not essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and multi-task effectively. Proactive with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to escalate issues when necessary.
