Back to ResultsOur client is seeking a Crew Employment Administrator to support yacht owners and managers with crew employment and payroll services. The role involves utilising a bespoke IT platform and delivering services via a dedicated app. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll administration, regulatory compliance, and client liaison. Job Duties: Prepare and manage crew payroll and reporting using payroll software Review and calculate crew bonuses, allowances, and deductions Distribute payslips directly to crew members Handle payroll-related administrative and transactional queries Manage Malta Social Insurance registration and payments Carry out department-related tasks as required by management Oversee day-to-day payroll and HR administration for a portfolio of clients Liaise with clients, employees, and external bodies such as international authorities, banks, and pension providers Draft written correspondence with clients, employees, and external bodies Manage payroll data, produce payroll reports, and handle invoicing Administer client bank accounts and payments in line with statutory and contractual deadlines Maintain high customer service standards and adhere to service level agreements Prepare employment contracts, terminations, addendums, and letters as required Ensure crew MLC qualifications remain up to date Reconcile crew payroll accounts and report reconciliation status to the Crew Accounting Manager Be willing to travel to attend boat shows, client meetings, and industry events Undertake any other tasks required by senior administrators or the team supervisor Job Requirements: Strong organisational skills Excellent numeracy skills with attention to detail Ability to work methodically, accurately, and efficiently while meeting deadlines in a pressurised environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactive approach with the ability to multitask and work under pressure Team player who can also work independently Strong customer service and client-facing skills Experience in the marine/yachting industry or payroll administration exposure (preferred) Experience in a payroll officer or similar position Excellent command of the English language Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Knowledge of crew management software (advantageous) Experience handling complex client interactions Understanding of international and national seafarer certification regulations Professional management of client relationships Commercial awareness What You’ll Love:Our client offers a dynamic and fast-paced working environment within the maritime sector.
