Our client is seeking a KYC Manager to join their team. This is a full-time role with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The KYC Manager will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. The role involves managing the KYC team and working closely with the KYC SME and Onboarding Senior Manager to maintain the operational integrity of the client onboarding processes. Job Duties: Lead and manage the BCI KYC team as part of the wider Client Lifecycle team, ensuring efficient and effective onboarding for both new clients and periodic reviews. Drive operational excellence by leveraging technology to enhance team performance and output. Develop and implement a training plan for all KYC team members. Mentor team members by identifying and encouraging good team working practices. Collaborate with the KYC Operations Team (CoE) to identify quality issues and support additional training as needed. Provide regular feedback to team members based on performance evidence. Liaise with the CoE regarding output, quality, and delivery against KPIs. Provide technology support for AML systems (KYC and Compliance teams). Communicate with the Global KYC team regarding significant issues or strategic priorities. Represent the Channel Islands in global KYC groups and share insights when necessary. Deputise for the KYC SME on policy matters when required. Job Requirements: AML certificate or other similar relevant qualifications. In-depth knowledge of KYC, financial regulatory environment, and AML risk implications. Strong understanding of the legal structures of various client types. Proven experience in managing client relationships in KYC/CDD or similar roles. Ability to build trusted relationships quickly. Sound knowledge of compliance principles and regulations to maintain data quality. Technologically proficient with the ability to use digital tools to analyse and transform data. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and escalate issues as needed. Experience in delegating and managing workflows for team members. Strong coaching and team development skills. Awareness of business commercial considerations. Desirable skills include knowledge of client industries and structures in the Channel Islands, and experience managing cross-jurisdictional teams.
