Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Manager, Economics, to join their Sustainability and Economics practice. This role focuses on economic analysis, strategy, and evaluation services, with a particular emphasis on the Economics & Impact pillar. The successful candidate will lead multiple client engagements, provide economic insights, and support business growth within the practice. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to economic thought leadership and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive impactful decision-making. Job Duties: Lead complex client engagements focused on economic analysis, sustainability, and impact assessments. Oversee project scoping, budgeting, resource allocation, and the delivery of high-quality client deliverables. Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for collaboration. Provide strategic economic insights to senior client stakeholders to guide decision-making. Drive thought leadership initiatives through publications, presentations, and conferences. Develop and apply advanced economic methodologies to assess social, environmental, and economic impacts. Evaluate data analysis, financial models, and cost-benefit assessments to inform recommendations. Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on technical analysis and professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service offerings and expand market presence. Represent the organisation at external forums, industry events, and client engagements. Job Requirements: Advanced degree or qualification in Economics, Environmental Economics, or a related field. Typically, 10+ years of experience in economic analysis, impact assessment, or consultancy work. Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience. Expertise in economic methods, statistical analysis, financial modelling, and cost-benefit analysis. Ability to design and critique economic frameworks for sustainability and impact assessment. Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify business opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with digital and data analytics tools such as AI tools, Alteryx, and Power BI. Understanding of sustainability, impact measurement, and public policy frameworks is desirable.
