Back to ResultsOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage technical and security infrastructure. This role involves assessing business needs, developing technical solutions, and ensuring the efficient operation of infrastructure and security components. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing specialist technical employees, overseeing external resources, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Travel within Europe may be required. Job Duties: Define, implement, and maintain infrastructure and security solutions based on business requirements. Assess current capabilities and execute necessary changes to meet operational needs. Design and implement systems and service solutions to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency. Manage specialist technical employees, including external consultancy and contract resources. Oversee changes to service infrastructure components, including service assets, configurations, and documentation. Ensure the ongoing functionality, capability, and sustainability of hardware, software, and network components. Develop and maintain technology processes and procedures in line with professional standards and audit requirements. Identify, classify, and resolve technical issues, preventing recurrence through root cause analysis. Maintain professional communication with vendors, suppliers, and external clients. Analyse, measure, and improve technology services, ensuring proper documentation and operational efficiency. Stay up to date with industry developments and provide expert advice on technical specialisms. Job Requirements: A minimum of five years’ experience in a detailed technical infrastructure role. A proven track record of delivering technical solutions and infrastructure improvements. Relevant qualifications, such as: Microsoft MCTIP/MCSE VMware VCP Citrix Associate/Professional Cisco CCIE/CCDA/CNA Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple technical projects. Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
