Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant & Payroll professional to join their Financial Control team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position can be based in Guernsey, Jersey, or the Isle of Man. The role involves overseeing monthly payroll processes, contributing to management accounting, and supporting financial reporting, reconciliation, and audit requirements. Job Duties: Manage month-end accounting processes, including accruals, prepayments, stock, and fixed assets Contribute to monthly accounting systems and support the analysis and production of financial reports Assist in preparing tax and financial returns, ensuring compliance with audit requirements Support treasury processes and prepare reconciliations for the balance sheet and other accounts Process accurate and timely monthly payroll Upload payroll journals to the finance system (Dynamics 365) Submit returns to income tax, social insurance, and pension authorities Ensure timely payments of company tax and pension liabilities Produce payroll reports, reconcile control accounts, and liaise with HR for payroll controls Undertake project-based tasks and ad hoc duties as assigned by the Financial Controller Ensure compliance with regulatory rules, data protection law, health and safety policies, and security awareness training requirements Job Requirements: Management accounting experience A professional accounting qualification, working towards qualification, or qualified by experience Proven experience in monthly payroll processing Strong IT and Excel skills, with high levels of systems proficiency Self-motivated and well organised with the ability to work collaboratively Strong project and time management skills Analytical thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in the telecoms or technology sector is desirable Familiarity with accounting software and systems is advantageous What You’ll Love:You will join a collaborative and purpose-driven organisation where reliability, innovation, and continuous learning are valued.
