Our client is seeking a Client Services Director to lead the governance, development, and delivery of their private client team in Guernsey. This full-time role is instrumental in driving client service excellence, strategic growth, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The post-holder will have full responsibility for team leadership, budget and target delivery, and business development across a portfolio of high-value international clients. Job Duties: Oversee and manage a book of complex client relationships in line with procedures and regulatory standards Act as an ‘A’ signatory and serve on the board of affiliated and managed entities Lead implementation of new procedures and changes across the client base Conduct client meetings and maintain strong, profitable relationships Identify client needs, anticipate issues, and seek expert advice when required Liaise with Group offices to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery Support Executive Directors with complex client matters and provide cover as needed Review financial and management reports for accuracy and oversight Lead the take-on of new business and ensure a seamless onboarding experience Define and deliver business development targets, identifying new opportunities Build relationships with intermediaries, attend events, and prepare thought leadership material Travel to meet clients and introducers, strengthening long-term relationships Maintain awareness of global financial developments and market trends Take ownership of team performance, budgeting, billing, and debtor management Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and governance requirements Contribute to internal committees and lead local or Group-level projects Inspire and manage the team through recruitment, development, appraisals, and reward Champion the company’s values and culture of professionalism and collaboration Act as a mentor and support system for colleagues, sharing expertise Encourage a positive approach to change and continuous improvement Proactively manage personal and professional development Job Requirements: Educated to degree level and holding a professional qualification recognised by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (Category A status) Extensive experience in senior-level private wealth administration Comprehensive technical knowledge of private client services and relationship management In-depth understanding of Jersey's legal, regulatory, and anti-money laundering framework Proven ability to lead business development initiatives and deliver client presentations Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills Excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to adapt communication style and lead by example What You’ll Love:Our client is an independent leader in private wealth, corporate administration, and yacht services.
