Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper to support their accounts manager with day-to-day financial operations. This office-based role offers flexibility, with 12–20 hours per week to start, and potential for additional hours. The successful candidate will handle a range of responsibilities including processing payments, reconciling statements, and supporting financial reporting activities. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a small, collaborative team and who can manage a varied workload with accuracy and professionalism. Job Duties: Support the accounts manager with general administrative and financial duties Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts Enter financial data into accounting software or databases and file supporting documents Process supplier invoices using Dext/Xero Reconcile insurer statements and arrange payments accordingly Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices Investigate and resolve debtor positions in collaboration with colleagues Liaise with external accountants when required Plan, organise, and manage workload to support timely monthly financial reporting Job Requirements: Hold or be studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA Previous experience in bookkeeping High level of reliability and discretion when handling confidential information Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Knowledge of Dext and Xero is desirable but not essential Strong organisational and multitasking skills Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines A team player with flexibility and a calm approach under pressure Excellent accuracy and attention to detail What You’ll Love:Our client is a locally run, family-owned business that values professionalism, service, and integrity.
