Back to ResultsA global aviation services provider is seeking to hire a Head of Procurement to join its team in Dubai.
Key responsibilities will be to develop and implement strategies to expand supplier accounts and effectively enter new markets. Manage pricing quotes, follow up on activities, and ensure timely conversions. Maintain accurate pricing data in operational databases to support informed decision-making and pro actively address supply issues and maintain stable fuel operations by engaging with suppliers. Support the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program to identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline invoicing processes by integrating additional suppliers to industry standards. Set departmental objectives aligned with business goals and oversee team performance. Provide leadership and guidance to team members and assess departmental practices and implement improvements where needed. Prepare and deliver monthly presentations on departmental performance and forecasts and manage records of credit and pre-payment suppliers. Maintain vendor information and facilitated communication to obtain updated fuel-related prices and handle data updates, inquiries and procurement tasks efficiently.
To be eligible for this interesting position you must have relative qualifications to degree level in supply chain management. Other certification CIPS would be a bonus. At least 10 years experience with different aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management is also a necessary plus.
