Our client is seeking a full-time Operations Assistant Manager to join their Guernsey office. This is a permanent position supporting core operational functions, ensuring the effective delivery of business-as-usual activities while contributing to strategic projects. The role will involve working across IT, information security, data protection, and operational reporting, helping to maintain a high standard of service within a regulated environment. Job Duties: Lead and contribute to the delivery of multiple concurrent operational projects, overseeing timelines and stakeholder coordination Act as the main contact for the outsourced IT provider for BAU operations (excluding helpdesk tasks but providing oversight and cover when needed) Support the implementation and maintenance of the firm’s information security strategy, working with the Operations management team and vCISO Assist the Data Protection Representative in maintaining data protection compliance and managing associated policies and procedures Review and develop operational policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards Provide general operational and office support to maintain smooth daily business activities Prepare and manage operational reporting and management information, including quarterly reports for the Board and other senior stakeholders Job Requirements: Relevant experience in an operations or consulting role within the financial services industry Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset Ability to manage workloads independently and prioritise effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation Highly organised and adaptable, able to handle shifting priorities and manage multiple stakeholders Comfortable with systems such as Acumen, Microsoft 365, Investran, and document management platforms, or able to learn them quickly Understanding of GFSC requirements and Guernsey regulatory frameworks, including anti-money laundering, information security, and data protection Experience managing people and contributing to team leadership What You’ll Love:You’ll be part of a dynamic, independent firm that combines deep industry expertise with a supportive and inclusive culture.
