Back to ResultsOur client is seeking a Financial Services Counter Clerk to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based within a Post Office environment, the role is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while carrying out financial transactions and administrative duties with a high degree of accuracy. The successful candidate will be confident handling cash, working under pressure, and following policies and procedures with care and diligence. Job Duties: Deliver excellent customer service to clients and members across a range of financial services Assist the Supervisor in ensuring a smooth, professional service at the counter Maintain a tidy, well-stocked and compliant counter area, including correct display of notices and promotional materials Adhere to all procedures related to Dynamics, Contis, Ultrapos, and Post Office policies Accurately process shareholder financial transactions and account maintenance Comply with Anti-Money Laundering requirements and maintain high standards of compliance Carry out daily routines including stock and cash management Maintain accurate accounts and floats, reporting any discrepancies as required Observe Society policies in relation to employment law, health and safety, and data protection Support other operational tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Line Manager Job Requirements: Strong numeracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Patience and a calm approach under pressure Good communication and customer service skills Reliable and self-motivated with strong time management Flexible, with a willingness to work in different locations if needed Competent IT skills and familiarity with computer systems Annual AML training attendance required Well-presented and professional attitude What You’ll Love:Our client takes pride in their values, promoting openness, recognition, and empowerment in the workplace.
