Our client is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their Guernsey-based team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will support the production of financial, management and regulatory reporting and contribute to ongoing financial estimates and performance analysis. The successful candidate will assist with both statutory and management accounts and be actively involved in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Job Duties: Produce and assist in the delivery of management accounts, group reporting packs, regulatory reports and supporting documentation Assist in drafting financial commentaries for internal review Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax returns at both company and consolidated levels Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal financial procedures Assist with the preparation of financial plans, budgets and forecasts Review reconciliations of nostro and impersonal accounts Oversee the purchase ledger process, including invoice authorisation and workflow management Produce or review ad hoc financial and regulatory analysis as needed Job Requirements: Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, or fully qualified CAT, with a minimum of three years’ experience, ideally within financial services Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to construct and manipulate complex spreadsheets Experience with US GAAP, UK GAAP or IFRS accounting standards Prior experience working within a financial control environment Familiarity with accounting and banking systems such as BM+, T24 and SAP Knowledge of GFSC regulatory reporting requirements and Basel III What You’ll Love:This is a varied and challenging role in a well-established financial institution, offering hands-on involvement in all aspects of finance, reporting and planning.
