Back to ResultsOur client is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be responsible for managing accounting records and preparing financial and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will oversee key accounting functions and ensure accurate and timely reporting, supporting both financial control and business decision-making. Job Duties: Oversee group trust accounting and reporting to deliver high-quality service to senior management Plan and prioritise financial report preparation to meet all internal and external deadlines Manage the billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness Support the control of debtor balances Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports Assist in the preparation of the annual financial budget Liaise with auditors to facilitate the audit process efficiently Maintain a strong technical understanding of key systems including Microsoft Excel, Navision, SAP, Adaptive Insights, and Worksite Address accounting issues and provide solutions to problems as they arise Participate in and manage special finance projects as required Provide financial accounting and reporting support to the Group Trust Finance function Job Requirements: Strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems Proven experience in preparing accurate financial reports and statements Good communication, organisational, and presentation skills Understanding of the regulatory environment in Guernsey Solid knowledge of accrual and prepayment accounting concepts Competence in ledger management, including understanding of debits and credits What You’ll Love:Our client offers the opportunity to play a central role in financial oversight within a trust services environment.
