Back to ResultsWe are working with a global offshore law firm seeking a qualified Associate to join their expanding International Trusts & Private Clients (ITPC) practice in Guernsey. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative lawyer with non-contentious trust experience to join a unique cross-jurisdictional team advising UHNW clients on complex private wealth and trust matters.
You’ll be part of a team that blends private wealth advisory, structuring, and trust dispute expertise across international offices – with exposure to high-calibre clients and a diverse range of mandates. This role offers early responsibility, strong client contact, and a defined pathway for development.
Responsibilities include
Deliver tailored legal advice on Guernsey private wealth matters, collaborating with colleagues in trust disputes and corporate teams.
Manage your own matters while reviewing junior work and supporting their development.
Handle documentation, legal drafting, and third-party reviews, applying sound technical knowledge.
Take ownership of key internal processes – from file opening to billing and client updates.
You will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister (common law jurisdiction) with 2+ years PQE in non-contentious trusts or private client work. Ideally you will also be STEP qualified, or open to studying toward it. You should also have strong file management and billing awareness (including WIP and progress updates) together with excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine passion for private client work.
Our client is open to providing opportunities for the right candidate requiring a permit switch or a permit to work in Guernsey - a relocation package is available, including flights and 4 weeks of accommodation.
