Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance department. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the preparation of both monthly and annual financial statements. As a part of a dynamic team, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that all financial accounting elements are thoroughly managed and compliant with regulations, contributing to the overall success of the airline. Main Duties: Oversee all financial accounting elements, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cashbook, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and perform periodic reconciliations. Authorise bank payments as part of an approving team. Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations and take action on inconsistencies. Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts and annual financial statements. Develop and document processes to strengthen internal controls. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required. Support trainee accountant position(s) through day-to-day mentorship. Job Requirements: Qualified or part-qualified accountant, actively studying for ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification. Strong track record in financial accounting, from trial balance through to audited financial statements. Excellent IT skills; proficiency in accounting software such as SAGE or similar, and Microsoft packages. High numeracy skills and ability to work with confidential information. Strong organisational and time management capabilities. Experience supervising staff is a key requirement.
