Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee a portfolio of trusts and corporate structures. This full-time role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring seamless administration and management of client accounts. The successful candidate will engage in day-to-day operations, including cash management and client relations, while playing an integral part in the development of junior team members. Job Duties: Manage the day-to-day administration and processing of trusts and corporate structures. Oversee cash management and payments while exercising discretionary powers. Maintain accurate records and monitor investment portfolios. Ensure chargeable time is recorded appropriately and invoices are raised in a timely manner. Monitor aged debtors and facilitate follow-ups for payment. Act as the primary and/or backup relationship manager for multiple clients within the team. Develop and enhance client relationships by identifying growth opportunities. Prepare for and attend client meetings, ensuring follow-up on action points. Supervise junior employees effectively, setting SMART objectives and monitoring performance. Provide on-the-job training and delegate tasks, following up on their completion. Ensure Continuity Due Diligence (CDD) is maintained for all clients while taking responsibility for personal self-development. Job Requirements: A minimum of four years’ relevant experience in the trust field. Near completion of a professional qualification, such as ICSA certificate or STEP Foundation. A solid commitment to a career in trust and company administration. Strong knowledge and experience in offshore trust and company administration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level. Strong teamwork capabilities and flexibility to adapt to business needs. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and personal organisation. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise urgent tasks. Experience working in a deadline-driven environment without sacrificing accuracy. Understanding of Guernsey’s regulatory environment. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to task completion. A willingness to learn new skills and assist others in their development.
