Our client seeks a dynamic and results-driven Corporate Events Manager to lead their Corporate Events team across various jurisdictions, including the UK, Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man. This pivotal role involves ensuring that all corporate events are executed seamlessly, adhering to legal, regulatory, and internal procedures. The Corporate Events Manager will report to the Head of Corporate Events and support the team in managing tasks efficiently, maintaining high standards, and meeting deadlines. Job Duties: Assist in monitoring and reviewing all new and ongoing Corporate Actions for risk assessment, ensuring all processes meet relevant deadlines. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Events team, ensuring smooth and effective functioning. Delegate tasks and coordinate team activities to guarantee satisfactory completion of work. Foster a positive team environment, promoting accountability and high-performance standards. Review and update departmental procedures at least bi-annually or as required. Review and authorise completed Corporate Action files for documentation. Conduct four-eye checks as necessary. Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Events to identify training needs and developmental opportunities for team members. Identify and propose workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and processing capabilities. Monitor daily cash and stock reconciliations, minimising discrepancies. Escalate operational risks, incidents, errors, or complaints to the Head of Corporate Events in real-time. Manage group email communications effectively. Stay abreast of market key issues, initiatives, tax treatments, and regulatory changes impacting the business. Ensure accurate capture of Meeting announcements and compliance with SRD II regulations. Generate weekly reports to identify potential Income processing issues affecting client tax vouchers. Conduct monthly reviews of random Client tax voucher samples and resolve identified issues before annual distribution. Address processing issues relating to Corporate Actions impacting client capital gains reporting. Assess open Voluntary Corporate Actions and apply appropriate risk levels based on value, client count, and deadlines, reporting to stakeholders. Verify and release corporate event responses and instructions from Front Office/Client Services and Clients. Liaise with custodians to verify and release required actions or instructions. Review completed offer documents and cheque requests related to corporate events. Follow up on escalated queries promptly, ensuring reasonable response times. Act as a “B” signatory for authorising and releasing foreign and sterling payments in IGT, BACS, and HSBC. Collaborate with global custodians to ensure service levels meet business expectations. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and goal-setting with Operations Officers and the Senior Operations Officer. Assist other departments at the Management level as required. Address issues and queries arising within the department. Complete all assigned e-learning requirements. Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the business. Job Requirements: Solid experience in wealth management or banking operations, with demonstrated people management experience. Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of Custodian processes. Proficiency in new systems and processes, with an emphasis on adapting quickly. In-depth knowledge of Corporate Action processes, workflows, and relevant tax implications. Strong regulatory awareness and compliance understanding in banking and wealth management across the UK and Crown Dependencies.
