Our client, a leading player in the London Market Crisis Management division, is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Underwriter to join their expanding team based in Guernsey. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity to engage in Art & Private Client underwriting, contributing to the division's ambition to achieve $300 million in premiums in the future. The Associate Underwriter will report directly to an Underwriter and will play a key role in driving underwriting success while fostering strong relationships across global distribution channels. Job Duties: Deliver underwriting performance in alignment with budgetary targets. Develop and maintain relationships with all distribution channels. Underwrite, price, and negotiate accounts based on risk quality, predominantly focusing on renewal (existing) business while also addressing new business opportunities. Drive continuous improvement within the Underwriting department. Manage and analyse a portfolio of business, providing recommendations to enhance profitability and ensure production targets are met. Achieve production targets and underwrite business profitably in a volume-driven environment. Participate in client and broker calls/meetings to deepen knowledge of the class. Build expertise in all Crisis Management lines and support underwriting systems. Assist in producing regular and ad-hoc management information reports, using various reporting tools to analyse data and support strategic underwriting decisions. Maintain high standards of service throughout. Undertake other projects as assigned. Job Requirements: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels and seek clarity on requirements.
