Our client is seeking a talented Temp IT Application Engineer to join their dynamic team on a full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 years. This exciting opportunity is pivotal in delivering exceptional support and operational management of their IT applications and services. You will play a vital role in enhancing customer experiences through the effective implementation, monitoring, and management of IT solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the entire project lifecycle. Job Duties: Participate in the Application Support engineering team, providing implementation and support for enterprise client projects. Install, maintain, and retire services across the Managed IT and Mimecast portfolio. Troubleshoot and provide support for Managed IT customer issues. Act as a technical point of contact for implementation projects and in-life service delivery, offering subject matter expertise. Mentor SOC staff on related issues to enhance team knowledge. Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve tracking tickets and escalate issues as necessary. Keep customers informed with regular updates to maintain satisfaction. Contribute to the development and improvement of operational processes and procedures. Follow established operational protocols and participate in on-call support as required. You will demonstrate your expertise by enhancing customer mobility and efficiency while supporting a range of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Platforms and Office 365. Job Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows Platforms (including Windows Virtual Desktop and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), Intune/SCCM, and Office 365. Familiarity with email security gateway tools and Microsoft/Office 365 Security components such as Azure ATP, DLP, and AIP. Experience with Group Policy, Exchange, and Windows Server OS. Strong technical skills coupled with knowledge of Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, IP Subnetting. Hands-on experience with both wired and wireless networking technologies. Professional certifications in Microsoft 365 (e.g., MS-900, AZ-900, MS-700). Additional certifications such as AZ-104 (Administrator) and AZ-500 (Security Engineer) would be advantageous. Experience administering Citrix technologies, including ADC, Virtual Apps & Desktops, and Citrix Cloud. Significant experience in a similar role with a strong background in Managed IT technologies and solutions. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex information both verbally and in writing. Proven track record of maintaining strong customer relationships and successfully addressing challenging situations. A satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure is required due to the nature of this role. Understanding and compliance with Data Protection and Health and Safety regulations is essential.
